Peter Tsukahira "WORSHIP"
Extreme worship – a form that reaps for a person more than double what had been taken previously. He cited example of Job from Job 19:4. When everything was taken from him, and he was finally infested even with boils all over his body, when his wife had told him to curse God and die, what Jod did was an example of extreme worship. Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD.” In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. Great worship – a form that allows a person to be transform into a greater person. - example of King David from 1 Samuel 30. When after the battle, they had returned to their kingdom only to have it found destroyed by their enemy and everything taken. His men wanted to kill him there and then, but instead David decided it was time to seek God and worship. There and then, God answered him and told him to pursue his enemies and he will be restored everything that was taken away. Perfect worship – a form that will transform the people around us. There was only 1 example of this form of worship – Jesus Christ. In Matthew 26, when he was faced with the prosecution of man, Jesus went to God 3 times to pray. He asked that if there was a way for the end not to happen, let it not happen, but he always added that God’s will be done instead of his. In whatever we pray for, no matter how much we want it, always remember that God’s will be done. So, by his perfect worship, he changed everything, and everyone in this world. |
Thank you Jesus for the cross.
